Rayson UraForce WB60

Rayson UraForce WB60 is a two-component, water-based aliphatic polyurethane dispersion clear coat, crosslinked with a solvent-free hardener, giving a non-yellowing, abrasion-resistant finish in gloss, satin or matt.

Best for

Best for clear protective finishes in occupied buildings — sealing and dustproofing floors and walls with low odour and no yellowing.

Overview

UraForce WB60 is the water-based clear coat of the UraForce family. The aliphatic polyurethane dispersion crosslinks with a solvent-free hardener into a non-yellowing film with excellent abrasion resistance, low dirt pick-up and good water repellence — pencil hardness above H and gloss of 85 at 60° in the gloss grade.

Low VOC and low odour, it is the clear finish to reach for in occupied offices, schools and retail interiors where solvent products are excluded. It adheres to mechanically prepared concrete, metal, stone and limestone, and doubles as a hygienic washable coating for walls.

Available in gloss, satin and matt, it mixes 9:1 by weight with a working pot life of about 2 hours and is applied by brush or roller in a minimum of two coats.

Recommended uses

  • UV-resistant clear sealing of concrete floors
  • Topcoat finishes on hard surfaces such as stone and limestone
  • Hygienic coatings for walls and floors
  • Non-yellowing protective finishes in occupied commercial interiors

Suitable substrates

  • Mechanically prepared concrete (minimum 28 days old, moisture content below 5%)
  • Metal (prepared)
  • Stone and limestone
  • Walls and floors

Key benefits

  • Low VOC, low odour — suited to occupied buildings
  • Non-yellowing aliphatic PU clear coat in gloss, satin or matt
  • Excellent abrasion resistance and low dirt pick-up
  • Solvent-free hardener system

System position: Finish

A finish is the top coat. It provides the final appearance, cleanability and resistance to traffic, chemicals or UV.

Application method

  • Short-bristled brush
  • Roller

Technical information

The figures below are a guide for planning. Site conditions and workmanship affect results — confirm the details for your project with our technical team.

Coverage Refer to TDS / contact technical team
Mixing Two pre-weighed parts, mix ratio 9:1 by weight; stir parts separately, combine and mix with a slow-speed drill and paddle for 1–2 minutes; pot life approximately 2 hours
Drying & curing Surface dry 6 hours at 25 °C
Pack sizes 18 kg pail (base) + 2 kg pail (hardener)

Limitations

  • Minimum substrate temperature 5 °C; minimum mixing temperature 10 °C; minimum curing temperature 5 °C
  • Mixed material must be used within its pot life; cures faster in hot weather and in large batches
  • Hardener has a shorter shelf life than the base — store sealed and dry
  • Clear coat — substrate appearance and defects show through

Not suitable for

  • Hiding substrate colour or defects — it is a clear coat
  • Heavy-duty industrial traffic without a suitable body coat beneath
  • Immersion or chemical containment service

Recommended systems

Clear low-odour floor seal

  1. Prepare the substrate mechanically and vacuum clean
  2. Apply minimum 2 coats of Rayson UraForce WB60, stripe-coating edges by brush

Frequently asked questions

Can WB60 be applied while the building is occupied?

It is low VOC and low odour, which makes occupied-building application practical with normal segregation of the work area. Verify site rules and allow proper cure before reopening.

What is the difference between WB60 and SB65?

Both are non-yellowing aliphatic PU clear coats. WB60 is water-based and low odour for interiors and occupied buildings; SB65 is solvent-based with outstanding exterior weather durability.

Which sheens are available?

Gloss, satin and matt — the gloss grade measures around 85 at 60°.

How many coats should be applied?

A minimum of two, edges stripe-coated by brush before rolling.

What is the coverage per pail?

Check coverage with our technical team before quantifying.
