Rayson UraForce HY15

Rayson UraForce HY15 is a single-component, water-based hybrid urethane — a self-crosslinking acrylic-copolymer-enhanced polyurethane — that roller-coats concrete and mineral surfaces with a fast-drying, stain-resistant, anti-slip finish.

Best for

Best for quick-turnaround coloured floor coating on walkways, playgrounds and commercial areas where single-pack simplicity and fast drying matter.

Overview

UraForce HY15 packs urethane performance into a one-can product. The self-crosslinking acrylic-copolymer-enhanced polyurethane needs no hardener or mix ratio — open, stir and roll — which removes the most common site errors and suits maintenance teams as well as applicators.

The film dries fast with well-balanced hardness and durability, and delivers good stain resistance, easy cleaning, low dirt pick-up, good abrasion resistance, anti-slip performance and water repellence. It is non-yellowing and suitable for interior or exterior use on grey concrete, stone, limestone, pavers and cementitious coatings.

Overcoating is possible in as little as 1–3 hours at 25 °C, with light traffic in roughly 4–6 hours — a genuinely fast programme for occupied sites and overnight windows.

Recommended uses

  • Coloured coating over acrylic polymer cementitious coatings (APCC)
  • Grey concrete walkways and commercial floors
  • Hard surfaces such as stone and limestone
  • Pavers, playgrounds and basketball courts

Suitable substrates

  • Mineral substrates and grey concrete
  • Stone and limestone
  • Pavers
  • Acrylic polymer cementitious coatings

Key benefits

  • Single component — no mixing errors, minimal wastage
  • Fast-drying: overcoat in 1–3 hours, light traffic in 4–6 hours at 25 °C
  • Stain-resistant, easy-to-clean, anti-slip finish
  • Non-yellowing, interior or exterior use

System position: Finish

A finish is the top coat. It provides the final appearance, cleanability and resistance to traffic, chemicals or UV.

Application method

  • Brush
  • Roller

Technical information

The figures below are a guide for planning. Site conditions and workmanship affect results — confirm the details for your project with our technical team.

Coverage Refer to TDS / contact technical team
Mixing Single component, ready to use; pot life stated as under 4 hours once opened and in use
Drying & curing Overcoat in 1–3 hours at 25 °C (substrate dependent); open to light traffic after 4–6 hours
Pack sizes 24 kg plastic pail

Limitations

  • Ambient and surface temperatures must be at least 5 °C above the dew point
  • Recommended wet film thickness approximately 130–150 microns per coat
  • A thin-film finish, not a levelling or heavy-duty build product
  • Shelf life shorter than two-pack products — rotate stock

Not suitable for

  • Heavy industrial or forklift traffic — use an epoxy or PU-cement system
  • Chemical spill or containment areas
  • Levelling uneven substrates — it is a thin roller coat

Recommended systems

Fast-return walkway finish

  1. Prepare, clean and make good the surface
  2. Apply minimum 2 coats of Rayson UraForce HY15, overcoating within the recoat window

Anti-slip external ramp

  1. Prime and texture with Rayson GripSafe AP12 anti-slip primer filler
  2. Finish with Rayson UraForce HY15 in the selected colour

Frequently asked questions

Does UraForce HY15 need a hardener?

No — it is a single-component, self-crosslinking product. Stir well and apply; there is no mix ratio to get wrong.

How fast can an area reopen?

Indicatively, light foot traffic after 4–6 hours at 25 °C, with overcoating possible from 1–3 hours.

Is it slippery when wet?

The finish is formulated with anti-slip character, and for ramps or wet zones it pairs with GripSafe AP12 textured primer for a defined anti-slip profile.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes — it is non-yellowing and suitable for interior or exterior use, including playgrounds, pavers and walkways.

How many coats are recommended?

A minimum of two, with dull patches receiving a further coat for a uniform finish.
